Our team took the ferry from downtown Seattle to Winslow for outreach, and made a weekend of it.

Covered a lot of territory just south of Seattle with active support from a representative from the local church.

Hellos, goodbyes, and sharing pie with local college students, recent graduates, UW staff, and friends of Asher House.
Farmer’s Market: in U-District
We found the best way to engage with people at the Farmer’s Market. Gave out a lot of Monitors and enjoyed our time together.
Poundin’ it!!! at South Lake Union
Our second full-time worker arrived, and together Izzy and Haley are a force! Off to a great start, they “pounded it!!!” in South Lake Union today.
The Benefit of Two: In Bothell
There are many reasons why doing outreach with a partner is a good idea. That become clear today while walking around downtown Bothell.
First Fruits #2: Auto Service Center
We placed our first Monitor gift subscription at a busy auto service center with a large waiting area. Exactly the kind of place we are looking for!
First Fruits #1: Fire Department Visits
When this Committee did its first Monitor outreach project in 1912, one of the first places they went were the city fire stations. Today, we started our U-District outreach work there.
Taking Flight! Monitor outreach begins
We got 500 copies of The Christian Science Monitor Weekly: “Taking Flight” issue. Our summer workers hit the street in the U-District.
Moving forward with Monitor outreach project!
We have hired two outreach workers, Asher House is available, and the 8-week project begins next week. We need subs for specific days.
