Regrouping and Reconnecting: in Redmond
Back to work after a long trip to Bainbridge Island.
Unfortunately, after this big weekend, upon return to the office in the U-District on Monday morning, we found Haley's car vandalized. We spent most of two days working on repair, prayer, and reflection. Even before this unexpected challenge to deal with, it seemed that at this almost half-way point on this 8-week project, after so many consecutive long, active days, our whole team needed to refresh, refocus, and reground. We also started discussions about how to create a video documentary for the project.

On Tuesday, the team went eastside to Redmond. First stop was the CS Reading Room to say hi and get tips on where to go (and how to get around the construction zones), then they headed to downtown and city center. No gift subscriptions were placed in Redmond, but they found employees at big chain stores surprisingly receptive to taking sample copies.
On Wednesday they revisited the University District commercial area, and prepared for the next day's big trip to our most distant (yet still wonderfully supportive) committee member, the Christian Science Society in Friday Harbor.
