Road Trip with Merry Ann: In Burien
Monday morning our outreach team went to Burien. They met Merry Ann Peterson, one of our committee reps, and saw the Burien church and Reading Room. Merry Ann took them around by car so they could reach more businesses, since the commercial area is pretty spread out.
She also took them to the beach. They think Merry Ann is really cool!
They gave out all 100 Monitors in Burien. They've got it down to system enough now that they agreed to try a higher goal of giving out 125 Monitors a day going forward.
Because of the extra weight to carry, they are starting to carry back packs in addition to the shoulder bags that provide easy active access to the Monitors.
They decided they wanted to try Magnolia next, so that's where they are headed today, via the Ballard Locks. So watch out, Magnolia, here they come! We are working on plans for them to go to Bainbridge Island on Friday.
