Moving forward with Monitor outreach project!
Good news! We are moving forward with our CS Monitor outreach project. Since the last update, we have hired two outreach workers, Asher House has committed to availability, our workers have applied for residency, and we will begin work next week. So the full 8-week project will run as planned from June 27 through August 19.
Our two workers are both Juniors at Principia College. Haley Hill is from Portland, Oregon. Izzy Marvin is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Both are very excited about the opportunity to work to introduce diverse people to Christian Science. They have worked together previously at Adventure Unlimited Ranches, and are happy to be working together again.
Each of our two outreach workers will be absent for a total of 1-2 weeks of the 8-week project time, so we need to find locals to fill in so we always have a team of two. If you know of anyone who might be able to help out please send me their contact information. Specifically we need substitutes for:
June 27, 28, 29, 30.
July 1, 5, 6, 28, 29.
August 10, 11, 12
And we could also use help from anyone willing to help with Farmer's Market outreach on Saturday mornings:
July 9, 16, 23, 30
Aug 6, 13
We may have a delay in receiving our first batch of bulk Monitors from CSPS, so if your Reading Room has extra recent issues you could donate, we really need them for the week of June 27!
Since we have not received any lists from any reps of places to offer Monitor gift subscriptions, we'll do the best we can, working from maps and learning from experience. Your prayerful support of our community engagement is much appreciated.
