Bella & Izzy’s Q&A on the “Compass the City” project
By Izzy Marvin
As the summer has proceeded Bella and Izzy have visited Christian Science church services in South Lake Union (First Church of Christ, Scientist, Seattle) and Bothell. This past Sunday, June 4th, the girls attended the church service at Third Church of Christ Scientists in the University District. In addition to the regular Sunday church Service, the girls gave a presentation on the “Compass the City” outreach project. This presentation consisted of a video about the project from last summer as well as a discussion and question and answer portion following the video. The girls discussed how the project has progressed this far in the summer.
Since Izzy was a part of this project last summer, she was able to compare last summer's experience to this current summer as well as explain how she's seen progress in the receptiveness of individuals she and Bella have come in contact with. The girls both really enjoyed answering questions individuals from the CS community had. This was a very intimate and beneficial moment for the girls to directly talk to those who are a part of the community and who are or want to be involved in this project in the upcoming weeks.
