It’s all about Unity

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays. I always love to watch the Lake Union fireworks show because it feels like the whole city is coming together for a big collective party and we are uniting in celebration by watching this amazing display together. And how amazing that we have this huge watery amphitheater for this fireworks display. It’s SO Seattle!

I love America! I love that what unites everyone in the United States of America is a grand idea. I love that Christian Science is hard-wired into the idea of America, that so many significant dates in Christian Science history coincide with Independence Day.

I love the Christian Science Literature Joint Distribution Committee because it is all about unity among our local Christian Science churches. I love the “Compass the City” project because by trying to reach every community we are demonstrating unity through inclusion.
