Bremerton & Port Orchard Outreach Adventure
By Frashia Njenga
Outreach work on Thursday, July 10, took me across the water to Bremerton.
I caught the ferry from downtown Seattle and made my way to Bremerton, where I met up with Chris Lane, my partner for the day.
Downtown Bremerton was charming and peaceful, the perfect backdrop for our morning outreach. We took time to enjoy the scenery and even grabbed some donuts by the water, which added a sweet touch to the day.
Afterwards, we crossed over to Port Orchard, where we continued our outreach and managed to finish distributing all 100 copies we brought with us. It was a satisfying feeling to complete the goal. We wrapped up the afternoon with a late lunch at a Mediterranean spot, Gyros, before Chris kindly drove me back just in time to catch the ferry home.
It was a full, fulfilling day of outreach, connection, and quiet joy by the water.
