A Quiet Day on Eastlake
By Frashia Njenga
On Wednesday, July 9, Cindy and I headed out to Eastlake for our outreach. The area was noticeably quiet, with much of it under construction, which meant many of the local shops were closed.
Despite the slower foot traffic, we managed to distribute at least 50 copies, a solid accomplishment given the circumstances.
Later in the day, we returned to the Third Church CS Reading Room for a scheduled meeting with Lance Matteson, who serves on the Committee on Publication (COP) for Washington. Our conversation with him was both insightful and inspiring. He shared more about his role and the impactful work he does through the Committee. It was encouraging to hear firsthand how communication and thoughtful messaging can make a difference in public perception and outreach.
Even on a slow day, meaningful connections and quiet progress remind us of the value of steady, heartfelt work.
