A Beautiful Day in Kirkland
By Frashia Njenga
On Friday, July 11, Lusho and I spent the day in Kirkland for outreach, each of us carrying 50 copies to distribute. The weather was perfect, sunny, calm, and made for a truly enjoyable time outdoors. Kirkland itself was absolutely beautiful, with its clean streets, friendly people, and peaceful vibe by the water.
We took a break for lunch along the waterfront, which gave us a chance to slow down, enjoy the view, and recharge.
One of the highlights of the day was visiting the local fire station, where we had a great interaction and shared our materials.
By the end of the day, we had handed out all 100 copies and felt proud of what we accomplished. It was one of those days that reminded us how meaningful and energizing outreach can be when done in the right place, with the right partner, and under the right sky.
