A Memorable Day in Bothell: Distribution, Connection, and Gratitude

Today, we embarked on a memorable journey to Bothell, accompanied by Cindy, Izzy, my teammate, and myself. The day started with a drive to the Christian Science Bothell branch, where we were treated to a fascinating tour of the facility.

This day was particularly special because we had more than 200 copies to distribute. Our mission was clear: my teammate and I would cover the University of Washington Bothell campus and downtown Bothell. The distribution began smoothly, and we made steady progress through the downtown area.

Just as we thought we had exhausted all potential spots, we found a few more places to distribute our copies, managing to give out every single one and secure five gift subscriptions.

However, as we handed out our last copy, the weather took a turn, and it started to pour. My teammate and I went into a restaurant for lunch. We contacted Cindy to let her know we were cold and didn’t know what to do until dinner and the testimony meeting. Cindy, ever resourceful, connected us with the sweetest person who graciously offered to pick us up and take us to her home.

Upon arriving at her cozy home, I enjoyed a much-needed nap on a bean bag right by the fireplace. After a few hours of rest and warmth, we headed out to dinner, where we met members of the Bothell church. It was a wonderful experience to meet everyone and share our stories, making new connections in the community.

The evening concluded with a testimony meeting, where I shared my deep gratitude for the Christian Science community and reflected on how God guides every aspect of my life “God is responsible”. This long day was well spent, filled with meaningful interactions, new friendships, and a profound sense of gratitude.

Today reminded us of the power of community and connection, and how, even on the cold and wettest days, there is always room for reflection and gratitude.
