La Conner: A lovely visit
By Cindy Obi-Njoku
Hello dear reader, Cindy here again. On the Thursday of our fourth week, June 13, we visited La Conner right after our trip to Mount Vernon. On this day, the weather was lovely, and the sun shone lovingly on us.
In our arrival at La Conner, we had lunch at the La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib restaurant. The food here was amazing and they had a lovely view of the water and the beautiful buildings of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community.
After lunch, we went on with work. During our walk, we noticed that there were not so many establishments and the ones available were not so receptive. Due to this, we got no subscription and only a few open to receiving copies. When we were done distributing, our administrator Cindy Safronoff bought us ice cream and I loved it.
My three highlights for the day were the Icecream (thank you Cindy🥰), my lunch at the restaurant, and a lovely Indian clothing store I would love to buy a dress from whenever I have the chance to visit off duty. All in all, it was a nice experience and a serene neighborhood to visit.
