Outreach in Greenwood: 77 Copies, 3 Subscriptions
By Frashia Njenga
On Tuesday, July 1st, I set out alone to Greenwood, a neighborhood with a strong sense of community and a laid back charm. It was my first solo outreach day of the week, and I was excited to see how it would go.
Armed with a stack of Monitors, I moved through the neighborhood with purpose. Greenwood’s streets were active with friendly faces and small business buzz. I managed to distribute 77 copies. The highlight? I received three new subscriptions from people who were genuinely interested in what the magazine has to offer. These moments make outreach feel especially meaningful, a reminder that even when you're working alone, the impact is real. It was a productive and encouraging day. Greenwood showed me that persistence pays off and that people are always open when approached with sincerity.
