Planning Your Visit

Christian Science church community members are welcome to visit to our committee rooms in Bothell and the U-District. You can drop off literature, get a guided tour, select items for church or personal use, or do some work as a volunteer. If possible, please make an appointment in advance.

Our committee rooms are not for the general public. People new to Christian Science should be directed to a Christian Science Reading Room. There is one in the same building at both Bothell and the U-District, or find one at ChristianScienceWA.org.

Bothell

The used book exchange for the Christian Science church community is housed in Bothell. There is a lot of many types of literature from every era packed into the room. To make the most of your time, you might want to get familiar with what we have on our shelves and how we organize it before you visit. See the inventory list on this website and the room layout map below. Please discuss your needs and interests with the Administrator. You can use our cart to take things to/from your car. We can give you bags and boxes for carrying items. For the convenience of travelers, we can mail things to your home.

Here’s a general map of the room:

U-District (Seattle)

The “Compass the City” CS Monitor Weekly outreach project is based in our University District field office on extra storage area in the backrooms at Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Seattle. We don’t keep regular office hours here, but you can generally get a quick tour after church services at Third Church, and sometimes during Third Church Reading Room hours. Otherwise, visits only by appointment.

During the summer, while our Monitor outreach project is going, opportunities exist for joining our outreach team for their morning prep time or to help with field work. Contact us!
