A fruitful day in Edmonds!

Oh, how Izzy loves Edmonds!

Izzy was so excited to show Bella around this adorable town on Tuesday, June 6. Bella loved it as well! After a long and tab bit of confusing travel to Edmonds, the girls decided to grab lunch to re-energize themselves at a very tasty Mexican restaurant. The girls were very excited because they got chips and salsa before their food, YUM!

Like last summer, Edmonds was fruitful! All of the individuals the girls talked to were extremely kind and grateful for the sample copies of The Christian Science Monitor Weekly we were distributing. In addition to 100 distributed, the girls renewed 7 gift subscriptions from last year, and placed one new one.

The lady Bella and Izzy spoke to one place from last year recognized the Monitor right away and mentioned how she and her team have been reading the Monitor before putting it out for customers and explained how much they loved it. She was so excited to renew her subscription. We offered her a few extra copies of the Monitor since her team was currently reading this week's edition and had not yet put it out for customers! This was a really special interaction because the girls were shown how the project last summer has had a successful effect on the community.

Another example of the success of the outreach project, as the girls were checking in on how another business has enjoyed the Monitor thus far, the lady mentioned how the copies she received weekly disappear so quickly since her customers LOVE it! This was amazing to hear! 

Another amazing experience the girls had was in a coffee shop they went into. At first the girls weren't sure they were going to go in, but Izzy felt the urge to. Once they arrived inside they completed their spiel and were placing sample copies of the Monitor on a rack when Bella found a little old book on that rack which was open with the words Mary Baker Eddy in it. Izzy and Bella took a closer look and saw someone's personal notes in this book. It was called “Why Grow Old”. This was amazing to find because it was just placed there right where anyone could find it! This was an amazing gesture from God because it showed the girls that they were in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.  

Once the girls secured their gift subscriptions and distributed 100 sample copies around Edmonds, they headed to the beach near the ferry! Izzy was so excited to be visiting this view again and Bella was in awe. What a wonderful day in Edmonds!
